Direct Care Staff
The DCS supports individuals with developmental disabilities in ABLE’s vocational/residential programs, enabling them to lead healthy, independent and productive lives as fully as possible, promoting full community inclusion and the full exercise of their rights as citizens of their communities, state, and country. DCS supports day-to-day operations of the Vocational/Residential programs provided in accordance with ABLE’s policies and procedures and all monitoring agencies, such as the Department of Human Services (DHS), Developmental Disabilities Services (DDS), Oklahoma health Care Authority (OHCA), Occupational Safety Health Administration (OHSA) Equal employment Opportunity Commision (EEOC) and other federal, state and local governing bodies.
Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license without restrictions, have satisfactory reference checks (OSBI, DDS Community Services Registry, and previous employment), satisfactory drug screening, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
House Manager
The House manager is responsible for all day-to-day operations of a specific group home and/or DLS Home. They are responsible for maintaining and coordinating housekeeping, meals and nutrition, service recipient finances, medication administration, scheduling, training, and evaluating staff.
Qualifications: Must have a working knowledge of personnel administration and related rules, ABLE policies, procedures, ABLE employee handbook, and DDS qualified provider requirements, must have two years’ experience as HTS in residential setting and two years’ experience working with people with disabilities, must be 21 years of age, and have satisfactory reference check (OSBI, DDS Community Services Registry, and previous employment).
Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the supervision, coordination, and monitoring of services to individuals receiving supports from ABLE. Getting to know the service recipients and understanding their needs is an essential component of this position; likewise, the provision of support and assistance to any service recipient experiencing an emotional behavioral, or medical crisis. The program coordinator is accessible to direct service staff 24 hours per day and available to respond, in person when necessary to an emergency. S/he interviews and selects staff appropriate to provide supports, for consideration of service recipients and/or their families. S/he provides an ongoing observation and analysis of the provision of services. Monitoring activities may include, but are not limited to, telephone contact, observations, and interviewing the service recipient, family, or service provider.
Qualifications: A minimum of four years of any combination of college level education or full-time equivalent experience in serving persons with disabilities, or full-time equivalent experience in a supervisory position, a valid Oklahoma driver’s license without restrictions, satisfactory reference checks (OSBI, DDS Community Services registry, and previous employment), and satisfactory drug screening.
